Jean Schiller's Bio:

Jean Schiller has over 20 years of experience in the field of human factors, ergonomics and usability. Her work has involved user research and human factors as related to a wide variety of products and industries, including: - web and mobile technologies - household appliances - automobiles - heating & cooling equipment - children's products - personal computer equipment - personal protective equipmentShe is active in the human factors community and has held committee membership for ASTM and ANSI standards. Jean is also a Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP) and a Certified Product Safety Manager (CPSM).   Her specialties include: - Discovery research (ethnography and field research, contextual observation / interviews, task analysis and work flow studies, in-person and online surveys, focus groups) - Heuristic evaluations - Expert & consumer panel studies - Analysis of market data and media reviews - Analysis of technical literature, standards, codes, and regulations as related to human factors/safety. - Competitor and complementor product analysis/evaluation
